The Team!

Company | Today’s my last day at Novatech. In some sense, the company is also my first “company” here in Stavanger, providing me with the first social circle. Saying goodbye to them was bittersweet, as I don’t know when I will ever see them again. In Singapore, when I say goodbye to my colleagues, it never really is a goodbye since it is likely I may see them again in Singapore. But here, the goodbye may be for a while, or even forever.

Regardless, I am thankful and grateful for my time here at Novatech and the Innoasis building. It has been an incredible learning experience for me, and I will miss my time here. A special mention to my tech lead, Vasyl, with whom I have been working the closest for the past 5 months. There’s a bit of unspoken bond/familiarity, as he himself also experienced the settling down process, having left his hometown 17 years ago. I will miss both the company and company as I move into the next phase haha.

Wishing all of you the best. Ha det!

(I don’t think they will be reading this but thank you for the gifts, hope you all enjoy the Kopi O Kosong and Kaya)

Author’s Note: About a year ago, I parted ways with the city of Stavanger and the country of Norway after spending nearly half a year there alone, and I headed to the United States for my student exchange. I left behind countless memorable moments and penned several reflections based on photos on my travel account. Now that I’m back home in Singapore and have some time to spare, I hope to continue documenting and reflecting on the other stories and feelings I experienced throughout my life so far, capturing each moment as best as I can :)
